Sixteen kids and their families spent their Sunday morning traipsing around Walmart picking out blankets, towels, dishes, laundry detergent, mops, brooms, and other household supplies to purchase with the Sabbath school offering money collected over the last six months. These supplies are donated to families moving from homelessness into stable living through Family Promise of Greater Chattanooga. Not only is this trip a fun bonding time for the kiddos, but it also reminds us all that we can practice compassion on a regular basis.
